Paul Stewart: The Australian Connection

You should read this book because it's a little nice history about young people, the great love, success and failure and the meeting sienes real father after 16 years in Australia.
The Author create a story that shows us the great continent Australia with his attractions and romantic places, the love between two people from different "worlds" and the problems to have success.
Thank you for this somewhat different lessons, Mrs Karstädt!

Chapter nine: ... and down to earth / Chapter ten: New Year's Eve

After Dani and Alex saw the 13 dolphins everything started to go wrong.

The interviews stopped, their album and singles weren’t selling and they cheated out of 90% of what they'd earned.

After that flop Alex Reid and Dani go to England and create a new band calling "The Dolphins".

Chapter seven: Father and son (part 2)

Write a different ending of the chapter: "That night, when Alex had gone to sleep, TOM picked up his diary and began writing." (compare p.43, l.34f)
Friday, 8 February

After one month I had my first meeting with Alex.
I'm so glad that he likes me cause I feared Alex hates me because I left him.
That was the greatest day I've ever had.
To have fun with my son gives me a feeling I can't describe.

Chapter seven: Father and son

Comment on the following quote: "And, of course, Alex understood only too well." (p.43, l.33):
In my opinion Alex have the same mind as his dad:

Tom left Alex and Alison to see the world and don't become an adult.

Alex want to meet his father and fly alone around the world to Australia.

The two want to have adventure and can't stay on one point too long.

Chapter six: Into the rain forest (part 2)

Alex is very, very excited to speak with his dad but don't know what he sould say (page 31, line 12:"Hello...Tom" Alex muttered).
He want to shake hands, but Tom hugs him instead and Alex is stirred (page 31, line 15/16:and there were tears in his eyes).

Chapter six: Into the rain forest

The way I see it, Alex will be very excited to meet his father, but he is angry, too.

So if you ask me, Alex wouldn't fall in his arms.

Questions about chapter five: The face in the crowd

Here I have some questions for you!

1.: Why do you think there is a disagreement in the band?

2.: They want to have a week they don't have to see each other. Why?

3.: On the concert Alex see his dad in the crowd. What does he feel in that moment you think?
